R U OK?
This question has never been more relevant than this year. The pandemic outbreak has really shown how much we need to feel and be connected, and how important it is for our wellbeing to have a sincere and personal conversation.
At Optimate we will dedicate our fortnightly team breakfast on Thursday September 10 to check in with each other and ask the most important of questions: how do you feel?
In addition, our Regional Manager in Brisbane Naomi Robinson came up with the initiative to give all our team members a paid afternoon (or morning) to check in with friends, family, and everybody they feel needs a bit of TLC in these days. I think this is a great way to give back to (and stay connected with) the communities we are part of – I’d like to encourage all our customers and partners to join R U OK? Day through similar or completely different ideas. We need it now more than ever.
Last but not least, I’d like to draw your attention to the panel discussion organised by R U OK? about their R U OK? experiences, why R U OK?, what to say when someone says they’re not OK and how you can continue a conversation that could change a life.
