Senior / Principal Engineer – AVEVA PI

We’re looking for a Senior Engineer or Principal Engineer with strong AVEVA PI experience to join our Perth team.
This role will suit someone who is technically strong, practical in their approach, and comfortable working directly with clients to deliver fit-for-purpose data and industrial technology solutions.
You’ll be working across projects involving PI System architecture, integration, analytics, and operational support, particularly in sectors such as utilities, mining, and renewables.
What the role involves
- Delivering and supporting AVEVA PI System solutions across a range of client environments
- Contributing to the design and implementation of data integration and analytics platforms
- Providing technical input into system architecture, performance, scalability, and security
- Working with clients to understand operational requirements and translate them into practical solutions
- Supporting project delivery, commissioning, troubleshooting, and ongoing system improvement
- Collaborating with internal teams on technical direction, solution design, and delivery planning
- For more senior candidates, contributing to technical leadership, mentoring, and client relationship development
- Delivering training or knowledge transfer where needed to support customer adoption and capability uplift
What we’re looking for
- Strong hands-on experience with AVEVA PI System
- Experience with data integration, industrial systems, and operational support
- Solid understanding of Azure and/or AWS environments
- Experience with Power BI, SQL, and related reporting or analytics tools
- Ability to work across both technical delivery and client-facing discussions
- Experience in sectors such as power/utilities, mining, or renewable energy will be highly regarded
- Strong troubleshooting skills and a practical approach to problem-solving
- Relevant degree in Engineering, IT, or a related discipline
Senior vs Principal level
We’re open to candidates at either level:- Senior Engineer: strong technical delivery capability, able to work independently and contribute across projects
- Principal Engineer: deeper technical leadership experience, able to guide solution direction, support business development, and mentor others
